Behavioral Health Professional - Portland Area Job Opening in Portland, Maine - DUTIES OF POSITION
Provides Behavioral Health Professional Services in the home for home for a child under the direct supervision of the BHP Supervisor/Program Director.
Follow Treatment plan provided by the clinician.
Provide hands-on, one-on-one support to the individual in the areas of daily living, social interaction, behavior management and communication following established treatment plan.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a variety of moderate to severe disruptive behaviors exhibited in individual or group settings, including adjustment reactions to new or changing environments.
Complete and provide work schedules, summaries of progress on goals and objectives, and other required paperwork to assigned field supervisor on a weekly basis.
Maintain reliable communication with the field supervisor, to include: timely responses to phone calls, emails and prompt notification of schedule changes.
Utilizes the appropriate tools to monitor each client?s treatment by completing progress notes, incident reports, as appropriate and verbally reporting treatment issues to in a timely manner.
Document data according to mainecare and programmatic guidelines(COA)
Attend weekly 1:1 and/ or group supervision sessions and comes prepared to discuss client needs and concerns as well as works with team to create, personalize, and update all treatment plans.
Participates in collaborative meetings with other professionals as requested needed.
Seek professional growth through reading, attending workshops seminars, conferences and/or advanced course work. Keep required certification current.

Required education: High school or equivalent
Required license or certification: Driver's License, Desire to become BHP Certified
