Accounting Manager Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Sussman Shank LLP, a downtown Portland, commercial law firm, seeks an Accounting Manager. This is an exempt management position reporting directly to the firm's Chief Operating Officer. This person is responsible for all aspects of the firm's accounting, including the day-to-day financial management of the firm.
Responsibilities include: all financial reporting; working with the firm's outside CPA in year-end closing; working with the Chief Operating Officer on financial management and budgeting; managing the accounting department; payroll functions; administering the firms' 401(k) and other benefits; and preparing monthly financial management reports.
We are looking for a team-oriented individual with five or more years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a law firm environment. Requirements include: strong analytical skills; high level of PC proficiency including advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of LSS software preferred; excellent verbal and written communications; ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines; excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills; highly organized, and detail-oriented.
