Salary Range: 43,140 ? 47,840 Annually
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Perform a variety of intermediate accounting and fiscal record keeping activities. Complete tasks necessary to assure organizational compliance with generally accepted accounting principles for non-profit organizations including assistance with budget preparation, processing of accounts payable and payroll, reconciliation of financial institution accounts, maintenance of financial records, fixed asset system, and other projects as needed.
JOB-SPECIFIC

Record and post journal entries to the General Ledger including depreciation, amortization, accruals, and accounts receivable.
Prepare monthly allocation entries.
Retrieve bank statements from online banking site, reconcile bank accounts and EFTS, and test pre-notes.
Track and monitor organizations cash position daily.
Review timecards. Process monthly payroll batch, supplemental checks, draw, pre-notes, and 401k match/contributions, garnishments and COBRA reconciliation.
Prepare and submit payroll in ADP, create reports for BOLI and Workers Compensation, prepare and track garnishments.
Manage ADP GL transfer interface and import monthly budget
Track contract pharmacy revenue and reconcile contract pharmacy accounts.
Prepare various financial data spreadsheets for monitoring cash and general ledger accounts.
Provide information as needed to Senior Account and CFO for audit process.
Prepare grant work papers and track grant dollars.
Review W-2s and 1099 Forms generated by ADP.
Prepare or assist in preparing reports as needed by federal grants or by management
In Accounts Payable Assistant?s absence, process A/P and maintain petty cash as schedule allows
Track and invoice accounts receivable outside of the health record system.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proven success working in a team environment as well as the ability to work self-directed.
Positive communication skills and collaborative style.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to use initiative and good judgment in completing tasks and responsibilities resolving technical challenges and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, theories, concepts and terminology;
Professional work experience with practice management software such as Sage MIP, ADP, Epic
Compliancy with HIPAA and privacy laws and other applicable regulations.
Able to work efficiently with a diverse workforce in a multicultural environment.
Effectively organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates multiple activities and tasks.
Possession of a valid driver?s license and reliable transportation may be needed for occasional travel
Works with high initiative, energy and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
Able to work hours as scheduled, which may include Saturdays, evenings, extended hours as needed

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree in Accounting
Three years of professional work experience in an Accounting role.
Intermediate Excel skills
Or combination of equivalent knowledge and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s Degree with in depth accounting coursework
Experience as an accountant with understanding of health care operating systems (FQHC)
CPA firm experience tax and/or auditing experience.
