Software Engineer Job Opening in Fargo, North dakota - Codelation is actively seeking motivated, passionate Software Engineers interested in learning and solving business problems in a creative, hard-working and fun environment. The ideal candidate is a developer that has experience working in multiple languages and frameworks, is interested in challenging development tasks, and is hungry to continually learn and grow. This candidate will work closely with a talented team of developers and designers, is comfortable working directly with clients in a consultative role, and can articulate complex issues to non-technical people. The ideal candidate thrives on taking a project from design to completion.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Interest in working on many different types of projects including: custom web apps, eCommerce, CMS, and mobile apps
Passion for writing clean, well-tested code
Solid understanding object-oriented design and/or functional programming concepts
Experience with the following technologies:
Standard web technologies: HTTP, REST, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
One or more of the following programming languages: Ruby, Java,
Modern web application frameworks: Rails, Spring, Grails, Laravel, Express, Phoenix
JavaScript frontend : AngularJS, React, Ember, Redux/Flux
Relational database systems: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server
Experience writing automated tests using frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, Jasmine and RSpec.
Version control with Git
Bonus points
Knowledge of RESTful API design implemented via a Microservice architecture
Comfortable working with remote, paired/team and solo work environments
An understanding of web analytics and performance management tooling.
DevOps technologies: Puppet, Ansible, Vagrant, Docker, Amazon AWS (Kinesis, RDS, EB)
Proficiency and passion for building simple and effective user experiences
