Position Details:
Vermeer Southeast is currently seeking an aggressive Underground Equipment Sales Representative to handle the Vermeer line of industrial and environmental construction equipment and other complimentary product lines for the area of PALM BEACH, MARTIN, ST. LUCIE AND OKEECHOBEE COUNTIES IN BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA . Consideration will be restricted to potential candidates who have proven sales, organizational and territorial management skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for planning selling activities through applicable marketing/sales strategies which include prospecting, qualifying, interviewing, presentations, demonstrations, price negotiations and delivery of both new and used equipment products. Will provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale and will interface with customers daily on the phone and in person.
Education and Experience:
College degree preferred or equivalent 2 years sales experience
Previous industry experience or mechanical aptitude a plus
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic competence in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to understand, read and follow verbal and written instructions
Must be able to multi-task and be detailed orientated with demonstrated follow through and organizational skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Basic typing and computer skills
A valid CDL Class A license and medical certificate required
Knowledge of industry practices
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to equipment
Compensation:
Base salary PLUS commission includes excellent benefits package
