Accountant Job Opening in Reno, Nevada - The Accountant position at Core Dynamics is responsible for the entire accounting cycle, which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Payroll, and others. Develop and produce financial reports. Processes Quarter and Year End, develops budget.
Implements, updates, and maintains financial systems and procedures to ensure that accurate and reliable financial information is compiled and reported.
Complies with Corporate and Agency contractual and operational requirements to ensure that costs are allowable and are properly allocated to defined expense lines.
Assists in the development of proposals for the operation of the Shelter, with subsequent development, implementation and reporting of annual budget(s) that meet the contractual requirements and funding plans.
Ensures that all payments to Shelter employees, vendors and taxing authorities are timely and accurate.
Implements and manages internal controls to ensure the integrity of the financial activities.
Provides guidance and training to Shelter staff who oversee on-site financial activities.
Improves existing financial reports and develops new reports that enhance the ability for Shelter and Corporate management to understand the financial status of their operation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: **** Bachelor?s degree in Accounting (or related business field) required, and 3-5 years? experience in Accounting and/or Finance. Analytically adept, computer literate with excellent spreadsheet proficiency, and excellent organizational and writing skills required. Experience with Peachtree, MICROSOFT DYNAMICS SL and ULTIPRO is desired.
