Job Summary
A hospital client in Riverton, WY is looking for a Lead Certified Sterile Processor. This is a contract position. Requires at a minimum one weekend per month and one holiday rotation. Typically the rotations are every 3rd weekend and every other holiday; however, the facility policy will define the required rotations. The Certified Sterile Processor will provide sterile instruments and supplies to all members of the healthcare team, achieves proper sterilization of packs and instruments, removes sterile instruments from flash autoclave and steris machine using proper sterile technique; and, properly sterilize and aerate heat sensitive instruments. Skills may include Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.), Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, and others. The successful candidate must have the ability to read, write, add, subtract, and read temperature gauges. The ability to exercise tact and discretion, some knowledge of hospital policies and procedures is desirable.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience
Must be available to work 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, and possible weekends
Must be familiar with the operation of sterilizers and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment related to surgery
