Senior C/C++ Developer Job Opening in Basking Ridge, New jersey - Senior C/C++ developer for our core team expanding functionality of LiteSpeed Web Server. (Object-oriented, multi-thread, event-driven programming. TCP/IP sockets.)
LiteSpeed Web Server (LSWS) is the fourth most popular web server on the Internet and the world's #1 commercial web server. We are looking for a motivated software engineer with strong development and problem solving skills who enjoys developing high quality system-level software products. The ideal candidate would be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new situations while drawing on a long, fundamentally sound background in C++.
The developer position is full-time, W2, with health benefits. It will be on-site at our office in northern New Jersey. You may start remotely, on a contract-to-hire basis, but we will require you to relocate to NJ once both sides are confident in our ability to work together (about 1-2 months).

Responsibilities:
Develop new features and maintain existing code for our commercial and open source products.
Test new features, write unit tests, fix bugs.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in C/C++ development.
Self-motivated problem-solver who enjoys challenges.
BS in computer science or related field a plus.
US citizens or green card holder.
Skills:
Strong, efficient problem solving skills, especially with novel problems and environments
Senior/expert level C/C++
Object-oriented programming
Multi-thread and event-driven programming
TCP/IP socket programming
Expert in agile and extreme programming and code review
Expert with POSIX, SVR4, 4.3BSD, and libc/glibc APIs
Linux kernel programming a plus
Working with open source tools/projects
Familiar with source control software: git, svn, cvs
Other programming languages helpful but not necessary: PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Javascript
