Director of Admissions (Health Care Facility) Job Opening in Pikesville, Maryland - Brinton Woods Health & Rehabilitation Center of Pikesville, conveniently located in Baltimore County, provides short-term inpatient rehab services, skilled nursing care, and long term care services to our residents. The facility became part of the Brinton Woods family in July of 2017 and has allowed us to expand our network and offer locations convenient for more families and residents.
We are currently recruiting for a full time Director of Admissions to join our team. The Admissions Director is responsible for assessing potential residents for the facility in coordination with business and nursing administrative staff, to determine if potential residents meet facility admission criteria. The Admissions Director coordinates daily communications between the facility, hospital discharge planners, physicians, residents, their families and other medical staff and relationships with various referral sources including hospital staff, physicians, Assisted Living facilities and other community and service coordination groups.
Status: Full Time
Location: Baltimore, MD
This position involves local travel in and around the Baltimore Metro area and daily attendance at facility meetings.
Requirements:
Experience working in a healthcare environment (long term care) is preferred with marketing experience a plus
Strong clinical assessment and customer service skills
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care systems and criteria
Experience with completion of admissions contracts
Knowledge of discharge planning process
Advanced skills in MS Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook; proficiency with Internet applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
