Sales Manager Job Opening in Kalispell, Montana - The beautiful 144-room Hilton Garden Inn Kalispell is seeking a dynamic, experienced Sales Manager .
The property boasts over 14,000 square feet of meeting space including an 8,500 square foot ballroom, Blue Canyon Kitchen*Tavern restaurant, pool whirlpool, and business center. Guests enjoy close proximity to Glacier National Park (30 miles), Flathead Lake (10 miles), 2 ski resorts, 9 championship golf courses, and a variety of other outdoor recreation year round.
Immediate Supervisor(s): Director of Sales
1. Meet or exceed established sales goals.
2. Aggressively pursue all appropriate opportunities for outside customer solicitation and relationship building including: Outside Sales Calls, Civic Association Events, Trade Events, Industry Vendor Relationships, etc.
3. Receive and respond to all customer inquiries within 4 business hours and capture all profitable sales/catering business in accordance with selective selling guidelines.
4. Correspond with potential customers providing any requested information concerning bids, proposals, confirmation of bookings, thank you letters, follow-up letters, and etcetera. In conjunction with other Sales Managers, maintain accurate and up to date records of all catering functions and transactions.
5. Maintain an active list of top accounts to ensure continuous relationship building activities. Top accounts should be contacted, visited, entertained, etc. frequently.
6. Participating in weekly staff meetings/ Participating in BEO meeting.
7. At every opportunity, strive to facilitate effective communication lines with all departments in the hotel, in order to ensure all events are successful.
8. Perform other services and duties as requested by the Director of Sales and General Manager. Sales Managers may be called on to assist with host functions and participate in, or conduct sales blitzes, travel and work extended hours to achieve departmental goals.
9. Working with Guest Services manager with booking room blocks.
10. Timely completion of Event Orders.
11. Required to have full understanding of all property specific operational practices.
12. Assisting the Hilton Garden Inn in achieving and maintaining a 95% overall Hilton Quality Audit.
13. Full understanding of all computer systems: Sales Pro, and On Q.
14. Having a full understanding of all paper flow and being self-contained with all administrative needs including documentation and four hour follow up of all inquiries.
15. Responsibilities include selling both rooms and food and beverage.
16. Understanding all Hilton programs and procedures.
17. Taking full ownership of all functions, Following all proper payment procedures,
including processing of all payment destinations.
18. Participate in manager on duty program.
19. Adhere to time and attendance policy as established by hotel Director of Sales and General Manager.
20. Contribute and work as a team player in all facets of this position.
