The role of Outside Sales Rep. is responsible for soliciting new and growing existing business within an established territory. As a single source supplier, MSI delivers labeling services and a comprehensive range of superior identification products such as pipe markers, valve tags, equipment labels and safety signs to construction contractors for enhanced communications, operability and safety. () 40-50% Travel Required
Key Functions:
Familiarize and demonstrate to customer?s new products (services) and developments, continually emphasizing our value proposition.
Coordinate and assist the technical staff to determine customers' needs and preparation of samples as needed. Assist as needed in the development of new or special products.
Prepare and deliver formal presentations to customers on proposed products. Attend and assist with preparations for trade shows.
Ensures that all commitments and obligations for the client are met and/or exceeded throughout the project/order and provides ongoing support. Partners with customer as a trusted advisor by establishing, maintaining and growing a long term business relationship.
Gather project information; prepare sales quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, etc., to ensure accurate processing of order. Ensure that all sales proposals are completed and delivered to the customer.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Business and/or Marketing or related technical degree
Strong ability to understand technical concepts and systems
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in business to business sales and territory development
Must be a self-starter and self-directed with the ability to independently manage time and projects * Proficient in MS Office products
* A valid driver?s license and reliable vehicle Up to 50% travel to assigned territory. MSI covers all travel expenses
Up to 50% travel ? typically we expect 1-2 days in the office for admin duties and the balance of the week out meeting with customers.
MSI provides: laptop, company cell, tablet and ongoing training and support
Range of commission based on current activity in the territories is $80,000 - $25,000
