Accounting Manager Job Opening in Cloverdale, California - Redwood Empire seeks an Accounting Manager to lead its Asti accounting department. The Accounting Manager is responsible for all accounting-related functions for the Asti facility, including Shipping, Invoicing, and Inventory Control.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervise the accurate and timely processing of all daily and month-end accounting processes for shipping, receiving, invoicing, and inventory control.
Train and supervise clerical staff for shipping, receiving, invoicing, and inventory control.
Oversee the semi-annual on- and off- premise physical inventories and reconcile to the GL and supporting schedules.
Conduct regular audits of invoicing and receiving transactions for accuracy of cost and sales pricing.
Support General Manager for special accounting projects.
Work with the Credit Department to resolve customer problems related to open Accounts Receivable.
Review and approve supplier and freight invoices, confirm discounts taken, due dates and ensure proper backup is on file for all invoices.
Review monthly freight vendor statements and reconcile accrual balances on the GL.
Fill in for all clerical positions as needed.
Ensure timely processing of all accounting functions.
Assist with monthly accounting close process including preparation of financial reports and schedules as required by the corporate accounting department.
Work with corporate controller and location general manager for all important accounting-related inventory control and CAP EX project spending.
Qualifications
BS in Accounting
Manufacturing and standard cost accounting experience required
Experience with Great Plains Financials and Epicor LumberTrack accounting software preferred
3+ years of experience in accounting
Six or more years? experience in a manufacturing or multidisciplinary business operations of $25M+ in size or larger
Strong experience in cost accounting
Ability to maintain confidential information
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
