Financial Administrator Job Opening in Clarendon Hills, Illinois - Summary
The Financial Administrator is responsible for all bookkeeping and budgetary functions for the church. The person reports to the Church Administrator and works closely with Pastor / Head of Staff, as well as the Treasurer. The approximate 15-20 hours per week are flexible within normal business hours. Compensation is commensurate with similar nonprofit positions. The church has its own preschool and child care programs on-site during the school year. Church membership is not required. We are a short walk from the BNSF Metra line.
Specific responsibilities include:
Fund
Stewardship
Budget tracking, planning and reporting
Administration of payroll through 3rd party provider
Bank reconciliations
Skill requirements:
Several years of experience, including experience with accounting software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong communication skills.
Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical.
Ability to work independently.
Respect for confidentiality is required.
Training will be provided.
