Summary of Position:
Incumbent in this position is responsible for managing both highly-complex departmental and enterprise-wide IS projects, to include assessing clients? needs, defining scope of projects, budget management and project implementation from start-up through execution and critical assessment upon completion.
Essential Duties:
Defines scope of projects and implements project plans in accordance with the clients? needs as early as pre-selling activities through proposal scoping and project start up, execution and completion; develops tailored project management solutions as necessary.
Responsible for the management and coordination of all system documentation, user requirements, business analytical flow, project budgets, resource allocation, execution of projects, and deployment and completion of project with all associated documentation.
Prepares all necessary requirement documentation for all phases of the projects including policies, procedures, flowcharts, operating manuals and training documentation.
Provides hands-on project management and actively manages project plan, deliverables, dependencies and outcome. Ensures that the project goals and objectives are achieved within agreed-upon timeframes and guidelines established by the relevant stakeholders and management committees. Obtains approval from key client stakeholders when project is completed and closes the project.
Prepares communication plan and related project status reports to stakeholders and others (as appropriate); provides project updates on activities and deliverables, as well as risks and mitigation strategies.
Identifies and manages overall project dependencies and ensures project deliverables stay on-time, on-target and on-budget.
Defines and manages overall project risk identification and mitigation process through interaction with project constituents and stakeholders.
Identifies on timely basis all project barriers and identifies strategies and approaches to overcome these barriers.
Ensures consistency and adherence to standards, processes and policies for all assigned projects. Defines and implements the appropriate change management strategy and plans to ensure that change management concerns are addressed during and after project implementation, as well as to ensure that the project impact is sustainable and supported by the business process owners.
Completes and manages project activities using an industry-standard project management process and approach to ensure a consistent approach to project completion with other similar projects within the organization.
Responsible for program/portfolio management by establishing the relationship and strategic goals between two or more projects and ensuring implementation of individual projects? goals.
Determines resourcing, budget and time allocation across multiple projects.
Education, Experience and Training:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and seven (7) years of IS Project Management experience
Need to have Apps Dev and/or Infrastructure experience as a Developer/BA/PM so to understand/interact effectively with the internal dev and infrastructure teams and business owners/users. 99% Microsoft environment (, SQL, Sharepoint, etc.)
Seven (7) years experience with applications development technologies, software development practices, enterprise architecture standards and general IT fundamentals
One (1) year of Program/Portfolio Management experience
PMP Certification
ERP system implementation and support experience, preferably MS Dynamics GP
Pharmacy systems experience, preferred
Restaurant system experience, preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
