Apprentice Chocolate Maker Job Opening in ann arbor, Michigan - Apprentice Chocolate Maker Apprentice Chocolate Maker This is a part-time position starting at 16 hours per week, flexible schedule, two full days per week. Pay based on production and quality of work and work as an independent contractor. Primary responsibility: To assist with making the finest premium chocolate from the cocoa bean. Performance Expectations: Must be able to maintain high standards of quality while maintaining a high level of production. To assist Chocolate Maker in the following: Make chocolate, cocoa powder and cocoa butter from the cocoa bean Temper, mould and package chocolate Fill orders Maintain a safe, very clean, orderly and sanitary kitchen Skills, knowledge and experience desired: Completed a Culinary Arts degree in Baking and Pastry with experience in production. Willing to be flexible, cheerful and helpful The ability to follow verbal instructions and be able to follow through with instructions to completion of the task The ability to be challenged by a production based pay system Are comfortable standing for long periods of time, able to lift 50 lbs and able to perform repetitive motions Candidates will need to have the following qualities: Have a passion for great chocolate A heightened ability to taste with a discriminating palate Enthusiasm for your work Strong Attention to Detail Able to work neatly and efficiently Enjoy learning For more information, or to apply please contact ann arbor mi michigan
