Computer Engineer Job Opening in Mobile, Alabama - An ATSS client is an innovative engineering services and software development firm with immediate openings for a Computer Engineer to work on core projects in either Mobile, AL Birmingham, AL, or Burbank, CA. Duties*Software development and database technologies in a wide variety of languages and environments (C++, C#, , HTML5 and SQL Server 2012)*Siemens PCS7 experience a big plus*Must be able to design and program PLC?s to include Allen Bradley and Siemens*Hands on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)*Ability to quickly understand and utilize new technologies*Responsible for developing the applications that allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or developing the underlying systems that run the devices or control networks.*Interpersonal Skills Required as all are required to do some business development
Requirements*Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineeringor any engineering discipline*Minimum 3 years work experience*Knowledge of database management techniques, data architecture and design techniques.*Proven expertise with software development and database technologies including Microsoft Visual C++, C#, , HTML5 and SQL Server 2012*Proficient in object-oriented design and application development using Microsoft technologies. (MCPD, MCM, MCSM, or MCA a plus).*Strong analytical background with the ability to solve problems efficiently*Ability to quickly understand and utilize new technologies*Proven history of designing programs from ground up.*Good planning and organization skills.*Good written and verbal communication skills.*Desire to work in a growing company (50 plus employees currently)*Willing to travel 25 to 50 percent
