OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The Applications Developer will be responsible for software application design, development and implementation for assigned projects and will work as part of a team. Depending on the qualifications of the individual, the position could be a Senior Applications Developer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain and administer advanced software systems serving mission critical needs
Ensure a high level of quality in all stages of software development from planning through implementation
Write and maintain design documents and user documents geared to effective and accurate communication
Perform all responsibilities conducting themselves in a professional manner
Follow all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies and report any potential or perceived violations of applicable laws, regulations or Company policies
Other tasks and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Personal, Educational, Experience)
Bachelor?s Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or related field; Master?s degree preferred
3-5 years? experience in commercial software development; 6+ years for Senior Applications Developer
Experience in software development life cycle and software development environments
Previous experience with scalable software systems that support data processing, data transformation, data analysis and workflow
Familiarity with optimized architecture and efficient algorithms using object oriented methods and scalable design
Significant experience dealing with critical data such as financial markets or retail credit
Exposure to optimizing data models, ETL processes and workflow
Significant experience with C#, architecture, MS-SQL Server and T-SQL
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
