The Global Controller will be responsible for managing the Corporate Accounting and the Shared Services Accounting teams and related day to day activities, the monthly closing process, supporting and financial reporting for multiple segment/site locations, and various special projects.
This position and related activities will require interfacing with all levels of Operations, Corporate, and Accounting personnel on a regular basis.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising all general accounting activities, including ensuring the preparation and approval of journal vouchers (JVs).
Supervising the management of fixed assets accounting.
Supervising and/or management of intercompany accounting.
Supervising the management of payroll accounting.
Supervising and/or approving account reconciliations.
Solid GAAP knowledge in order to research/resolve technical accounting issues.
Supporting Site Controllers.
Supervising and ensuring effective internal controls
Supervising and/or supporting internal and external auditing activities.
Supervising and/or making improvements to the existing processes as well as helping to define and document standard work.
Solid communication skills (written and oral).
Attention to detail as needed to ensure accuracy of financial information.
Lead and/or participate in various special projects.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
CPA certification preferred
Must possess solid knowledge of GAAP and proper accounting procedures.
Must have strong leadership skills and work well in a team and matrix environment.
Hands on experience working with an ERP system
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $160,000.00 /year
