STAFF ACCOUNTANT Job Opening in annapolis, Maryland - STAFF ACCOUNTANT The Staff Accountant supports general accounting, business license and tax processes for the company, with primary responsibility for business licensing compliance, various tax preparation/filing, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and financial reporting. Prepares and files, or assists in the completion of returns for sales & use, income, and personal property taxes Researches, prepares and files business licensing applications for new and existing sites Prepares annual Secretary of State filings Prepares month end closing journal entries and month end close papers in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures Records financial entries and prepares balance sheet reconciliations including researching and clearing reconciling differences for assigned accounts. Reconciles cash accounts, including merchant cards and petty cash Prepares monthly financial statements, statistical, and management reports Assists with annual financial statement audit Completes special projects as assigned annapolis md maryland
