Territory Sales Representative Job Opening in Des Moines, Iowa - Midland Garage Door Mfg. Co. is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for our Eden Prairie Branch covering S.W Minnesota and Iowa geography. Experience in the construction and building materials industry is a plus. Overnight travel is required 3 to 4 nights a week. Some of the responsibilities include maintaining existing accounts and the development of new accounts in the territory while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude.

Territory Sales Representative
Develop a ? Territory Plan? which will guide and direct sales growth within assigned territory. The Territory Manager will work closely with Sales Manager develop and execute Territory Plan.
Develops a weekly pre-plan making certain that every dealer within their assigned territory gets seen on a regular and timely basis as outlined in the territory route list.
Spends a minimum of three nights out per week while calling on and servicing their assigned territory.
Effectively presents the Midland Garage Door Mfg. Co. products and services, and is able to overcome barriers to close the sale by clearly stating the features and benefits of a Midland as a company and its product line.
Demonstrates the ability to provide solutions to customers needs in a win ? win fashion.
Is able to adequately respond to a variety of requests from customers such as sales and marketing assistance, pricing recommendations, advertising, promotions, and dealer growth.
Accompanies assigned dealers on sales calls to end ? users when requested.
Is aware of all merchandising support materials, programs, and promotions provided by Midland Garage Door Mfg. Co.
Continuously looking for new marketing ideas to bring to dealers and to the Midland Sales/ Branch Manager.
Helps dealers establish effective sales and marketing plans to best utilize co-op dollars made available to them.
Participates in the development of Midland Garage Door Mfg. Co. programs and promotions targeted to both the dealer and the end user.
Maintains and services the dealers Midland displays, literature, and catalogs, making certain that they are always clean and up to date.
Will master the technical aspects of the garage door industry so they can assist dealers in trouble shooting issues.
