Real Estate / New Home Sales Intern Job Opening in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Skogman Homes, Eastern Iowa?s largest builder, is looking for talented and energetic interns to train to become top selling real estate experts.
Join forces with a company that is solely focused on helping YOU develop your sales skills while also learning the real estate and home building business. We provide a state of the art training program to teach you how to sell homes and become an expert in real estate. No construction or real estate experience necessary. We are looking for fun, outgoing interns that could potentially grow into to a full-time sales position.
Interns will learn the ins and out of building a new construction home and in some cases, will help design and select the interior finishes of our inventory homes. Our interns get inspiration from and shows on HGTV to name a few. Along with guaranteed compensation, we offer industry-leading sales training and provide personal development plans that lead to career advancement opportunities. Skogman Homes subscribes to a state of the art online portal called New Home Connect. Similar to Facebook, this online portal promotes the sharing of ideas with hundreds of other sales associates throughout the country, while offering hundreds of hours of training videos. Interns will utilize this tool to work through training and beyond. Interns will get first access to all positions that become available at Skogman Companies giving YOU the first opportunity of advancement.
Interns start at $10-15 an hour based of experience. Workloads can between 30-40 hours a week.
Responsibilities
Work open houses at our model homes and completed inventory homes weekly.
Utilize the training received to greet and qualify prospects, demonstrate the features and benefits of the area and community, with a goal to set an appointment with a Community Specialist.
Drive traffic and enhance community awareness through events and promotions at our model homes and in community.
Support sales staff by managing and maintaining a customer follow up system and employ CRM to report traffic, marketing awareness, community inventory, sales, and closing activity.
Work closely with the client?s operating, construction, service, and lending teams to create a seamless and smooth sales transaction.
Help Manage social media accounts to drive brand awareness.
Implement the Skogman Homes OPS Cycle? to optimize your community operation and maximize the selling opportunity.

Additional Info:
Internships are setup on 6 month intervals. At the end of internship, interns that successfully completes course will awarded a certificate of completion. Interns will have an opportunity to apply for a full-time sales position at completion of training program. Full time sales associates are salaried plus commission and typically make between $70,000-$100,000 a year. Interns will also have the opportunity apply for a position in general real estate at commencement of internship.
