Automation Control Engineer with GE Fanuc Robotics - Kankake... Job Opening in Kankakee, Illinois - We are a premier system integrator providing control system integration and software development services for a variety of process and manufacturing industries, including Life Sciences, Food and Beverage, Petroleum/Chemical and Packaging.

In this role, the candidate will support automation and control design activities in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, develop code, guide installation, and provide start-up assistance as part of an engineering team specializing in serving the pharmaceutical industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will design, develop and implement PLC, SCADA and HMI applications. Other responsibilities include documenting/meeting compliance requirements, and managing project budgets and schedules. The candidate will develop P&I diagrams, controls strategies, process operating descriptions, specify instrumentation, and generate design documents and specifications for hardware and software based on user requirements. The candidate will also assist in the field of process control systems and provide troubleshooting support as needed for existing systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The selected candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Minimum of BS degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with 7 plus years of experience in automation support and/or application development, pharmaceutical manufacturing is required .
A working knowledge of configuration, programming and startup of SCADA systems, including Rockwell RSView SE , Proficy iFIX , and Invensys Wonderware is required.
A working knowledge of PLC systems such as Rockwell?s ControlLogix , Wonderware Historian and Archestra is also required.
Must have a working knowledge of field wiring practices and panel design, experience with troubleshooting and start-up of control systems, and familiarity with sanitary valves and instrumentation.
Knowledge of engineering and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical automation applications is desirable.
The ideal candidate will also have the ability to develop MS SQL and Oracle database applications, with expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio development platform.
