Senior Programmer Analyst (Contract) Job Opening in Newark, California - Job Description:
HP-UX administration.
Managing offshore development team.
Facilitating software development change requests.
Disaster recovery planning.
Management of systems projects by creating project schedules, coordinating resources, and reporting progress to be sure that schedules are realistic and executed on time and accurately.
Analyze tasks including gathering information from systems users, analysis of goals, problem complexity and feasibility study, logic design, conceptual database design, forms and report layout, resource evaluation and cost and time analysis.
Implement systems, including creation of database objects, database security, coding application, performance tuning, linking custom programs into application menus, testing with customer/user, error correction, user acceptance and program documentation.
Develop, maintain, and follow programming guidelines to ensure that customization of off-the shelf applications do not interfere with future upgrades to these applications.
Qualification:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with emphasis on programming and 5-10 years of application development experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) along with strong planning and organizing skills
