About the Opportunity
The Sales Executive is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and driving revenue for a number of major accounts. It is responsible for maintaining base sales volume, increasing volume within the account base, penetrating the account base and developing long-term relationships with customers. The position is responsible for the pursuit of new opportunities outside the base.
Responsibilities
Perform a comprehensive range of sales activities to develop and maintain an existing portfolio of multi-million dollar office products customers within a specific marketplace.
Manage the entire sales cycle to acquire and maintain new business including:
Prospecting
Presenting
Completing proposals
Contracting
Coordinating account implementations
Maintain and augment sales revenues and margins in account base
Develop long-term customer relationships
Drive and support sales of all Guy Brown Divisions
Perform ongoing management and support
Support general sales and marketing activities for the organization within the specific marketplace including planning and executing trade show and customer activities
Local and regional representation of GBI to potential customers and related trade organizations
Communicate with customers on an ongoing basis to maintain the relationship and ensure a positive experience
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of company?s products and services in order to maximize business opportunities
Schedule presentations with customers to communicate new and changing product options, reaffirming the complete range of business benefits
Present renewal contracts (where applicable) for customer approval on a timely basis, ensuring that customer business needs are met while representing the best interests of GBI
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with business partners, vendors and management associates
Collaborate with internal departments to research customer problems and questions
This position will develop and manage relationships of remote sales representatives to support the account base
Ensure all key company managers and financial employees are knowledgeable of policies, procedures to maintain compliance, and communicate/support changes as necessary;

Qualifications
Three to five years of sales experience and field sales management with a track record of continuous growth and accomplishments
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent business experience
Professional salesperson with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships and interact with appropriate levels within the customer base for the daily management of account responsibilities
Excellent overall business acumen, profit oriented and attention to detail
Thorough understanding of customer segments and market dynamics within the furniture products industry and/or the distribution arena
Demonstrated ability to develop sales plans to achieve sales goals and financial target
Three to five years of sales experience and field sales management with a track record of continuous growth and accomplishments
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent business experience
