Intermediate Accountant Job Opening in Longwood, Florida - As an expanding local independent public accounting firm in Seminole county, we are seeking a motivated self-starter to fill a full-time opening.
Duties:
Accounting compilation for business clients,
Assisting with data entry and/or preparation of tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership),
Preparing payroll reports: 941, 940, RT-6, W-2, W-3
Preparing sales tax reports: DR-15.
Assisting with various office duties including scheduling, assisting clients when needed, etc.
Assisting with administration of retirement accounts (requires fingerprinting & background check)
Overall role would be office manager, tax preparer (or assistant), accountant, financial advising assistant.

Accounting knowledge/education and experience (minimum one year, ideally over five years),
QuickBooks knowledge,
Prior tax return prep experience,
Friendly personality,
Team focused,
Good organizational skills,
Patience during busy tax season. We do not work 7 days a week during tax season but we do ask occasional half-day weekends be worked only during tax season months.
In addition to the common accounting software programs such as QuickBooks, our office utilizes Thomson Reuters accounting package which includes UltraTax for tax. We will provide software training as needed.
