We are looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant- A/R to join our team. Responsibilities will include assisting in daily financial and administrative tasks. This position will ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations when processing and monitoring incoming payments. The successful candidate must have good written and verbal skills, great attention to detail and be a team player. If you have a head for numbers, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities of an Accounting Assistant
Maintain up-to-date billing in QuickBooks
Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Review AR aging to ensure compliance
Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
Follow established procedures for processing transactions
Prepare bank deposits
Process adjustments and resolve discrepancies
Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
Communicate with customers via phone, email or mail.
Assist with month-end closing
Requirements
Knowledge of office administration and procedures
Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
Knowledge of general accounting principals
Must be proficient in Microsoft office and QuickBooks
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Bachelor?s Degree preferred
1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
