Job Summary:
The Assistant Payroll Manager for Iconic Group is responsible for the daily maintenance and accurate bi-weekly processing of all payroll transactions in a multi-state and Canadian environment using ADP for 1,000+ employees and the administration of time and attendance. The incumbent will mentor and provide supervision to other payroll employees. The Assistant Payroll Manager will report directly to the Payroll Manager and will be a key liaison between the Finance and HR departments ensuring collaborative and successful cross-team initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately manage regular and bonus payrolls on a timely basis, ensuring that all earnings are appropriately paid to employees and confirming that taxes, garnishments and benefits deductions are withheld and in compliance.
Evaluate, develop and enforce the use of audit tools which support the payroll process and identify payroll vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
Complete successfully all federal, state & local reporting compliance requirements.
Ensures payroll team adherence to scheduled work tasks, policies and procedures.
Prepare and review monthly GL account entries and reconciliation related to payroll accounts.
Assist Human Resources with payroll audits, agency, and employee inquiries, including but not limited to, employment/child support verifications, federal/state unemployment forms, and monthly labor statistics reports.
Monitor and evaluate yearend payroll processes through ADP (Tax form W-2 and 1099).
Monthly reconciliation of employee vacation accruals.
Prepare various payroll reports requested by CFO and/or Senior Director of Human Resources.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years? experience in payroll administration.
Hands on experience with ADP Workforce Now, EZ Labor, HRB.
ADP report writing skills.
Must possess strong organizational skills.
Must possess ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with competing short deadlines.
Must possess advanced Microsoft Office skills especially Excel skills.
Must possess very strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
