Needed skills:
Solid understanding of object oriented development (OOD/OOP) and software development methodologies
7+ years of professional development experience with PHP language or skill equivalence
MVC experience from a PHP web framework
Technical Lead Experience
Experience with Bootstrap, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, and JQuery
Comfortable with code reviews and peer programming
Experience working with relational databases (SQL, MySQL)
Front end development experience preferred
Working knowledge of Web Services
Experience in core aspects of web application development including design, development, architecture, separation of layers, configuration, performance, integration, analytics
Knowledge of unit and integration testing methodologies, and the ability to write, debug and deploy testing frameworks
Self-starter with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize effectively, to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, to work under pressure, and to meet deadlines
Ability to work both in isolation and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Bachelors degree in related discipline or equivalent in experience
Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills
Translate business requirements into elegant designs, resulting in efficient, reusable code
Maintain usable development and test environments with Git and other tools to deliver applications in a reliable and efficient process
Responsibilities and duties:
Meet with leadership and others as needed to ascertain process, technology, and information needs of the organization.
Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements, preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. Estimates level of effort to complete the assignment.
Programs the computer by encoding project requirements in computer language. Confirms program operation by conducting tests, modifying program sequence and/or codes.
Provides reference for use of applications by writing and maintaining user documentation. Trains users on use of the application.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
