We are looking for people who can work in a pod of engineers, product, design, and QA in a way where they understand the immediate challenge and how that fits into the bigger objectives of the whole team. Understanding the immediate challenge from the lens of different functional areas is critical. Every member must subscribe to the view that a great product is high in quality, beautiful in design, innovative in solving a problem and simple to use. You must be able to contribute to architecting solutions, enhancing frameworks and think in terms of producing solutions that are reusable, simple and able to be extended by other developers. The ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive and teaching and learning way is important.
We are diverse in the technologies we use, ranging through Clojure, Elixir, Ruby, and JavaScript. We are investing heavily in React / Redux and the BFF pattern. We are in the process of completing our move to continuous deployment, we leverage micro services, and invest heavily in creating components that are reusable and provide a framework for our portfolio of sites. Understanding Git, a solid comprehension of CSS and how to craft semantic HTML is also important. Understanding front end best practices and the page execution lifecycle is important. Familiarity with debugging and examining the execution of JavaScript in the browser is critical.
