Mental Health Professional Job Opening in Monroe, Louisiana - Go into the community/home of the client to conduct sessions as directed in the client?s treatment plan.
Assists client and/or caregivers to improve their decision making capacity, enhance coping and interpersonal skills and helps create the reduction of stress.
Assists client and/or caregivers to develop insight and produce changes necessary for the person?s day-to-day functioning.
Create individual sessions, which are directed at meeting goals outlined in the client?s rehabilitation care plan.
Provide and foster a supportive, caring environment for all clients and/or caregivers.
Completes regular, concise and complete progress notes for each session, each client and/or caregiver.
Communicates needs and/or problems with The Program Director to allow for rapid problem-solving.
Participate in training, which are required by the agency for licensure.
Submits legible clinical notes within 24 hours of seeing client with proper documentation and appropriate signatures.
Attends weekly staff meetings/trainings.
Obtains training hours as required by the Department of Health and Hospitals and the five bayou healthcare providers.
Actively participates in crisis interventions.
ALWAYS on call for crisis or questions from the client.
Will give PSR treatment as well as CPST as instructed by supervisor.
Assist client, if needed, with community resources to assist in their personal and health needs.
An MHP may provide the following services under the supervision of an LMHP:
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
CPST
Participate in quality improvement and staff training activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Has a Master?s Degree in a human services field or education and two years of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services and be a Licensed Professional Counselor or under supervision to be Licensed.
