Accountant Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Accountant
Bond Consultants is the dynamic firm which provides professional employment services to many people with different backgrounds and skills. One of our clients - Global international company is currently looking for an Accountant.
Job Duties Include:
Understand and comply with internal control procedures.
Verify accuracy of closing statements, invoices, and other accounting documents plus assign proper account codes and input into QuickBooks
Analyze and validate accounting transactions for posting to journals, ledgers, and other records to ensure consistency and accuracy
Research property tax bills, insurance, and loan amortizations
Access various accounting systems to produce and consolidate predetermined monthly reports and compile necessary data for reporting to lenders
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and prepare individual tax returns and withholding returns.
Perform routine tasks such as data entry, scanning documentation, filing, and maintaining network data library.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications Include:
Bachelors of Accounting, Finance, Business degree or at least 3 years of general ledger accountant experience
2-3 years of experience in accounting role
Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills necessary
Knowledge of accounting principles and Quickbooks
Analytical skills and ability to multi task
Working knowledge of Income taxes, Microsoft Office
Compensation: 50K - 60K per year
Position: Full Time, Contract to Hire Position
