Quality Coordinator Job Opening in Camarillo, California - The Quality Management Coordinator provides expertise and support for all Quality Management functions to include abstracting, data aggregation and analysis and medical record review for quality assessment.
Essential Functions :
Maintain complete files for each quality activity
Abstract concurrent and retroactive medical record data for quality reviews
Ensure that there is adequate documentation of the quality review initial data
Assist in tracking of data for periodic, quarterly and annual reports
Conducting case reviews of complaints and grievances
Scheduling and conducting medical record reviews according to Department of Managed Health care (DMHC) and CMS
Coordinating and conducting activities related to QM clinical studies
Producing charts, graphs and reports to demonstrate results and outcomes
Reviewing quality of care or adverse event cases and report findings to the Director of Health Services
Assisting with QM audits related to the Patient Safety Program
Abstracts and prepares Peer Review cases for Medical Staff Committee Meetings
Prepare abstracted reports for committee meetings
Represent and report on abstracted reports in committee meetings
Assist in identifying the resources required to conduct quality reviews
Maintaining equipment and supplied needed for assigned duties
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office 2000 or above
Demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of healthcare professionals
Knowledge of medical terminology
Familiarity with different quality methodologies
Minimum 3-5 years? experience
