Tax Solutions, LLC is a stable, boutique CPA firm organically growing 100% through referrals from existing clients and associates that specializes in providing private businesses and professionals with CPA assistance in solving our clients? most difficult decisions in tax compliance, presenting audited financial statements, and improving their financial processes; is actively seeking a talented Senior Accountant with 3 or more years of audit and tax experience in a public accounting firm to join our professional home.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Tax Compliance Activities (50%)
Meet the client in person to interview and later fully prepare applicable individual, Corporation, Partnership, Estate and Trust tax returns while applying recommended tax strategies
Determine shareholder or partner basis in a business and understand how to apply the results to the business owner?s benefit
Apply the rules for residential and commercial property transactions, including home sales, rental sales, depreciation recapture, and discovering additional tax benefits for clients
Present the benefit of your work to the client and handle their related questions
Be mindful of opportunities to promote other firm services to the client
Consulting and Other (20%)
Identify tax saving opportunities and clearly communicate to the client the benefits and requirements of proposed strategies, followed by the implementation of your proposal
Identify tax /accounting compliance issues, formulate, recommend and enact a plan assisting the client service coordinator to best help the client
Accounting Services (10%)
Analyze and review client prepared data to quickly locate mistakes and discuss key metrics
Formulate opportunities to sell to the client time-saving services, on back-office functions, to have correct data, maximize their saving potential, and improve compliance
Summarize and prepare account reconciliations; including depreciation, amortization, escrow activity, deferred revenue, and other adjusting entries
Assist with Financial Statement Audits or Reviews
Regulatory Audits (10%)
Prepare audit work papers and visit clients? site for required audit procedures to compile Financial Statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Work with bankers, lenders, insurance carriers, federal and state tax regulatory agencies on behalf of our clients to validate data and tax positions
Be a leader in helping us grow this segment of the business
Payroll Services (5%)
Communicate payroll recommendations and compliance requirements with clients
Prepare or identify issues with third-party prepares payroll tax return forms
(5%)
Stay current with your learning and be able to assist with the professional development of other team members (professionals and non-professionals)
Present new ideas to improve our processes
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have obtained a 4-year degree in Accounting
Three years of experience in Audit and Tax for a Public Accounting firm
Skills: Ethics, Integrity, Self-Starting, Relationship Building, Time Management, Consultative Selling, Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication (written and oral), 10-key by touch, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel proficiency
One or more years of experience using QuickBooks to include vendor, customers, banking, reporting and employee modules
Two or more years of experience in tax preparation or audit, while working directly with clients
Have a verifiable track record of success with a commitment to advance
Create and maintain a useful chart of accounts without overcomplicating client reports
Must be able to assemble and read Financial Statements for tax preparation and analytical services
Prepare income tax returns that may include owner basis; fixed asset activity; and other complex forms, deductions, and credits with minimal review and rework necessary
Thoroughly understand how to read payroll reports from third parties and be able to correctly record cash disbursement, payroll tax expense and payroll tax liability
Possess analytical skills that address assessing changes between current year and prior year results, including taking initiative to investigate the cause of changes while recommending preventive measures for client errors
Natural curiosity and strong presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate subject matter with individuals who are not in the accounting or tax industries
Be able to thrive in an environment that rewards exceeding revenue goals and recognizing client opportunities
Able to receive guidance and stay organized in a fast paced, environment with minimal supervision while taking ownership of assigned caseload responsibilities
Master expected duties to advance your role by surpassing expectations for elevated responsibilities
Able to listen to client, pick up communication cues, manage their expectations and solve problems
CPA or proven CPA track preferred
Prolonged and repetitive periods of standing, bending, reaching, sitting, and kneeling to perform job duties
May be periodically required to lift heavy objects
Have reliable transportation
