POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst supports month end close process, monthly/quarterly financial reporting and analysis, preparation of budgets, journal entries, payroll processes that support the overall financial objectives of the business.
The Financial Analyst is a self-starter with the ability to work under tight deadlines and have expertise in accounting and financial analysis. The position demands frequent interactions with all levels of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs general ledger activities including monthly close activities, payroll related entries and preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
Prepares month-end accruals and analyze financial results
Creation of forecasts, budgets
Prepares monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the General Ledger
Performs account research and analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes
Monitors and reviews accounting and related system reports for completeness and accuracy
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
Ensures integrity of financial information general ledger
Identifies, researches and assists in the resolution and implementation of moderately-complex accounting projects
Prepares audit schedules as required
Ensures that internal and external customers are provided with timely and accurate assistance
Cross-trains in other areas of the finance and accounting department
Works on special projects and prepares ad hoc reports and analysis as needed
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Provides timely information to the business as requested
Performs other duties as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; analysis and creation of spreadsheets and reports, pivot tables and v-lookup.
Must have proven ability to meet tight deadlines
Must have proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Must be competent in accounting and financial practices and procedures
Adept at actively listening to ensure understanding and achieve goals

Ability to travel as needed
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting required.
Three or more years of analysis experience required
Experience with analysis of large volumes of data preferred, SQL experience preferred
Experience with Costpoint and/or other project based General Ledger systems required
