Electrical/Software Project Engineer Job Opening in Exeter, New hampshire - C3I Inc. is a small veteran-owned business located at our new building in Exeter, NH. We are dedicated to the design, development, manufacture and support of communications and control systems, software, equipment and instruments for our naval, marine and commercial customers.
We have a current opening for an Electrical/Software Project Engineer:
1 Responsible for technical documentation supporting the C3I portfolio of electronic hardware including development of reliability documents and system documents. Review of software documents and hardware drawings to ensure compliance with NAVAIR/NAVSEA requirements
2 Technical interface to NAVAIR Program, Engineering and Systems Engineering teams for C3I products. Lead engineering discussions with NAVAIR/NAVSEA customers including IPT meetings, informal design discussions, and formal design reviews
3 Conduct Electrical / Software analyses leading to continual improvement on C3I products
4 Implementation and review of Engineering Change Orders
5 Responsible for program requirements including developing and maintaining the product Requirements Compliance Matrices for key programs, relaying Government-issued System Change Notices to the engineering team, assessing their impact, and verifying the proposed design meets the requirements.
6 Conduct Reliability, Maintainability and Failure Mode analyses for C3I hardware
7 Programmatic responsibilities include familiarity, development and oversight of cost and schedule data to review/develop new proposals, monthly cost performance reports, and Integrated Master Schedules. Maintain extensive knowledge of the NAVAIR and NAVSEA contract requirements and notify the C3I team and the government when discussions are outside of the scope of the current contract requirements.
8 Assist in inspecting hardware and supporting company?s ISO 9001:2015 process whenever required.
9 Design, develop, and prototype new circuit designs, primarily digital disciplines, some analog disciplines. Thorough understanding of control theory and implementation concepts. Skilled in the use of embedded processor technologies, real time processing, communications, data acquisition, and processing. Working knowledge of DSP useful. Skill set should also include some or all of the following: sensor fusion, robotics, lighting drivers, motor/motion control, magnetics, and communication methodologies of
10 Knowledgeable in standard software and hardware configuration management techniques, tool sets, processes and methodologies.
11 Responsible for maintaining C3I drawings in accordance with C3I internal procedures
12 Member of the design review process for all new and existing C3I products including modifying all drawings based on change orders and other design changes
13 Support configuration management of past and future C3I COTS hardware
14 Responsible for drafting technical documentation (CDRL?s, SDRL?s, technical manuals, etc.) to NAVAIR and NAVSEA requirements
15 Provide training to Government teams on C3I hardware to include maintenance and operations
16 Lead new design initiatives supporting the C3I?s Chief Technical Officer
17 Responsible for maintaining C3I drawings in accordance with C3I internal procedures
Minimum requirements ? state educational and job experience requirements
Minimum Job Requirements
1 Sound knowledge in OR-CAD or Express PCB schematic capture and PCB layout software
2 B.S. in Electrical or Software Engineering or related field
3 Proficient at using the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. MS Word & MS Excel), MS Project Planning tools, Vizio, etc.
4 3-5 years of experience working in defense and aerospace related contracts
5 Familiarity with NAVAIR/NAVSEA System Engineering concept and approach
6 Ability to lead Integrated Product Team discussions and provide training familiarization with customers on C3I hardware
7 Skills should be either Electrical Engineer with the ability to perform basic software engineering ? primarily embedded micro-chip coding; or Software Engineer capable of performing basic electronic hardware design.
