Staff Accountant Job Opening in Downers Grove, Illinois - Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for general accounting, monthly account reconciliations, Accounts Payable entry and invoice paying, supporting the Controller in performing other responsibilities and reporting of the finance department.
Maintain the general ledger and prepare/analyze monthly expenses for review with the Controller
Accounts payable entry and payment to ensure proper coding and payment
Review monthly expense reports
Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
Analyze and project weekly expenses
Contribute to quarterly financial package by collecting and analyzing information
Maintain accounting controls and recommend policies and procedures
Other duties and ad-hoc reporting/analysis as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment where business needs can change rapidly. The successful candidate will enjoy working as a team and be proactive and eager to learn. Working toward a Bachelor?s degree in accounting is required.
