Fitness Front Desk Sales Associate Job Opening in Charleston, South carolina - BARRE EVOLUTION, Charleston's first barre fitness studio is seeking 2 upbeat, self-starting Front Desk Sales Associates.
MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING DAYS/TIMES: *Monday-Friday, 7:45am-1:30pm (shifts vary). Rotating weekends-Saturdays & Sundays 7:00 am-noon (shifts vary).
Additional weekday AM & PM shifts available to sub. Either position must be available to work holidays, including November 24-26, 2017 and December 23-31, 2017 (studios are closed on Christmas and New Year's Day).
There is room for growth for the right Front Desk Sales Associate must have a minimum of 1 year of sales experience (including cold calling); closing sales of both class packages and retail is required. The selected candidates is the first point of contact for all clients and will provide enthusiastic and friendly customer service to everyone who walks in the door.
The Front Desk Sales Associate handles all responsibilities in relation to providing an outstanding client experience, from timely response to telephone and email inquiries, class scheduling, troubleshooting and maintaining the overall operation and appearance of the studio.
Skills and Abilities Needed:
1 year sales/cold calling experience.
Proficiency in Macintosh computer system and scheduling software preferred.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff.
Works well independently, takes initiative and is self-motivated.
Principal Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Provide an exceptional client experience during front desk coverage including introducing new students to studio and class set up.
Conduct telephone inquiries/follow-up calls/customer care calls.
Great and assist customers as they shop for new retail/class package purchases.
Suggest applicable and relevant upsells to help customers walk out the door with everything they need.
Close sales of class packages and retail items.
Trouble-shoot client requests and/or problems. Elevate special concerns to management.
Strong focus on assisting clients with retail and maintaining the retail boutique.
Follow daily "open/close studio cleaning checklists" to maintain an orderly client environment.
Respond to telephone and/or email inquiries during required shifts.
Assist with planning and execution of studio events; promotions, etc.
Ability to work collaboratively with other studio location members.
Keep an accurate cash-drawer count.
Submit daily shift summary via email.
Any other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Marketing experience preferred:
Social media content creation, monitoring and posting.
Proficiency using Canva, Print Artist and/or Adobe Photoshop to create print/social media graphics preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
2. Ability to stand, bend, and climb for up to 8 hours a day.
3. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with management, fellow employees and customers.
4. Ability to read, count and write English to accurately complete all documentation.
5. Demonstrate schedule flexibility and ability to travel to Charleston area studios - Mt Pleasant and South Windermere - when needed.
* Must be available for required shifts, including those on evenings and weekends.
* Pay dependent on experience. Commission will be a component of pay. Class benefits & retail discounts included.
