GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES ? Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for having detailed knowledge of the financial and accounting systems. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the supervision of Accounting staff as well as performing daily and monthly accounting related tasks and special projects as needed. The Accounting Manager will assist the CFO and Controller in statistical data, identifying trends, formulating conclusions and preparing complete and accurate financial and statistical reports.
SUPERVISES -- Staff Accountants, Junior Accountants, AP Clerk, and other assigned personnel.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Supervision of Staff Accountant, AP Clerk, AR Clerk and Payroll Clerk as well as other assigned personnel
Preparation of journal entries, allocations and all items related to monthly close
Preparation of monthly financial statements
Review Account Reconciliations and investigate
Monthly review of all ledger activity and analysis in preparation of monthly meetings
Coordination of the resolution of outstanding items with the of other departments
Respond to the requests for information from Department Heads, and External Vendors/Bankers
Monthly review of all ledger activity and preparation of quarterly accruals
Manage Communications with External Auditors
Assists in the preparation of the annual budget
Assists with the selection and training of department personnel
Ad-hoc Projects and Analysis as requested
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
Minimum of a bachelor?s degree in accounting
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4-year supervisory experience
At least 3 years computerized general ledger accounting experience required
Experience using Intacct Software a plus
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Generally 8:00am to 5:00pm, subject to change.
