Overview:
Responsible for the overall operations, development and success of our Optometry practice in a geographic region. Directs Optometrists and Practice staff employees in the execution of day to day activities, processes, operational controls and staff development to ensure the delivery of outstanding patient service. Recruitment, selection, training and development, coaching and performance management of Optometrists and Practice employees. Act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, the general public, Optometrists and staff. Must reside in the Phoenix Metro area.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise the Optometrists and Practice team to include selection, training and development, coaching, counseling and performance management.
Recruitment of Doctors and Practice employees.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strength and sustainability in management and retail relationships to support business strategies for long term growth.
Manage daily operations to include coordinating work activities, managing schedules and call-offs.
Ensure that all customer service practices are in place and that complaints are responded to quickly and corrective action implemented.
Ensure business remains current within the Optometric Industry on trends in education, compensation and incentive plans to best position the company in recruiting Doctor Talent.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of state statutes and laws as they pertain to the practice of Optometry. Foster relationships and coordinate key recruitment events at the Schools & Colleges of Optometry and develop strong student connection.
Conduct regular store visits to review operational procedures.
Communicate effectively with senior management and Optometrists providing regular updates on operations.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
Ensure compliance with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies.
Identify and resolve work problems to ensure quality patient service.
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
Assist stores in their success of the Optos units.
Perform Doctor?s record reviews (Only if Practice manager is a Doctor).
Create and maintain reports and spreadsheets.
Assist in the growth of annual Practice profitability.
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in health or business administration
Doctor of Optometry preferred
Candidate for State licensure
Experience & Background:
Doctor of Optometry with a minimum five (5) years of experience in multi-unit, healthcare management of Doctors of Optometry.
Strong leadership skills & demonstrated success in building/leading a team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Strong patient and internal/external customer focus
Strong platform skills/presentation and public speaking skills with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
