Oversee the Marketing team creatively and strategically in the development of marketing collateral for the firm. Plays a key role in creating and maintaining the SBA brand. Part of a core team with the goal of driving long-term company-wide strategic growth initiatives. Will perform a broad range of marketing activities that revolve around leadership of the marketing team, support to internal client managers, lead tracking, proposal support, brand management, content marketing, thought leadership, and customer retention.
Responsibilities
Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates.
Actively involved in professional and community organizations, including SMPS.
Initiate and develop contact with potential clients and work with principals to secure new clients and projects.
Assist in the marketing development plan.
Support the public relations effort through the use of social media and the firm?s website.
Manage collateral materials development, public relations, advertising program, corporate identity development and implementation, special events, direct mail programs, and market research activities.
Responsible for overall staff training, i.e. social media, , Twitter, etc.
Develop proposal activities including RFP requirements, proposal review and completion, and creating/editing resumes.
Design and produce qualifications package and presentation materials for project interviews.
Create marketing material such as project sheets, brochures, advertisements, and award submissions.
Coordinate planning of trade shows and conference attendance.
Develop supporting graphics for use in marketing materials.
Maintain and organize all marketing materials and information including resumes and project cards.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in a marketing, public relations, graphic design, journalism, or related field with experience in the A/E.C industry.
BFA, or BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or Design, preferred.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and MS office required.
Strong graphic arts skills highly desired.
Understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in the design profession are a plus.
Strong verbal, written, and graphic skills; must be comfortable with writing, editing and designing creative layouts.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively across all levels of the firm.
Capable of working in a deadline driven environment; good time management and scheduling skills.
Work well independently and /or as part of a team.
