Intake Case Management Assistant Job Opening in Sylvania, Ohio - Kingston Care Center of Sylvania has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Intake Case Manager Assistant.
The purpose of this position is to facilitate a referral through the Kingston Admission process by obtaining required clinical and financial records, as well completing insurance verifications. This position will also be responsible for completing pre-authorizations; as well as communicating the admission decision and managing the placement logistics for the admission. This role will serve as a customer service ambassador, information resource, advocate, and problem solver to Kingston's medical and community referral sources.
Job Duties
Uses the Kingston Admission Policy and Procedure to navigate the admissions decision making tree.
Responds to the primary referral source electronically or via phone with the Kingston admit decision within the Global Goal of 15 minutes.
Complete costing tool on all referrals.
Works in conjunction with the Case Manager to obtain carve-outs and communicates needs of the patient with the insurance company.
Escalates referrals with clinically complex needs to appropriate facility decision maker.
Job Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent.
2 to 5 years customer service experience.
2 to 5 years experience in healthcare managing clinical information. Medical Records experience preferred.
ICD-10 experience preferred.
Must demonstrate proven communication skills.
