Exciting growth opportunity with an impressive leading, global manufacturing company. This person will gain a ton of exposure across multiple business units and focus primarily on plant operations and some financial reporting. Cost Accountant will work with plant?s management team and corporate HQ to make a huge impact with this $150M business unit. Targeting 3 ? 6 year Cost Accountants out of manufacturing industry eager for upward mobility with a clear 2 year path to advance. This position is a stepping stone to either corporate supervisor track or corporate fp&a team. Responsibilities ? Cost Accountant
Provide financial support; improve financial processes, production costs and strategic initiatives, annual budgeting, cost accounting and inventories with manufacturing plant
Implement plant control processes and report results to Plant Controller
Consolidation of financial results
Financial reporting, monthly income statements, balance sheets and reconciliations
Analyze cost center activities, provide ad-hoc analysis
Assist with internal and external audits
Report on actual results, budget and forecasts on plant?s financial data
Lead inventory and production operations with true cost to manufacture products, bill of materials and cost of goods
Requirements ? Cost Accountant
Bachelor?s in Accounting or Finance or related major
3+ years of cost accounting experience with manufacturing industry
Experience with ERP accounting system (SAP preferred)
Strong communication skills and desire for professional advancement
