Senior Accountant Job Opening in Springfield, Pennsylvania - Privately held and family-operated corporation is seeking a dynamic leader for a newly created Senior Accountant position. Organization has grown from one location, to have over 25 locations in 10 years. This is an excellent opportunity for a 2-3 year Accountant looking to into an into a hands-on senior position. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and assist with A/P, A/R, Payroll and various general accounting functions. Applicants must hold their Bachelors in Accounting.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Create and maintain journal entries
Reconcile debit and credit accounts
Perform ad-hoc analysis on various projects and budgets
Organize and maintain Financial Statements
Assist with month-end close
Audit employee taxes
Assist with the distribution of 1040 and 1099
Identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations
Liaise with HR, Accounting Operations and Finance Department
Senior Accountant Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Can do attitude
Technically savvy
Familiarity with GAAP accounting
