Austin, Texas is Austin Whiskey Company's home and Nine Banded Whiskey's largest market. The Austin Sales Manager?s responsibility is to maintain and maximize the sales of current and new clients within retail and on-premise accounts in the Austin and surrounding market(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Execute monthly programming and new product introductions to achieve sales quota (case depletion) objectives.
Engage in persuasive and educational meetings with our distributor?s (Republic National Distributing Company) sales force to secure commitments to specific sales/marketing objectives.
Participate in the development and implementation of local distributor programs.
Function as the local distributor?s consultant/liaison regarding all AWC spirits sales programs.
Build positive relationships with key spirit retailers in order to maximize AWC sales and distribution effectiveness.
Develop productive working relationships with bar, restaurant and hotel management and ownership.
Participate in management meetings, monthly sales meetings, and team meetings in the Austin market.
Directly monitor and ensure achievement of performance goals and objectives.
Budget and monitor business expenses (meals, transportation, lodging, etc.).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of spirits industry sales, marketing, or affiliated distributor sales experience
Skilled in commanding presence, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or a group.
Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills are a must.
Well-developed influence and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
Detail oriented and organized; excellent time management.
Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include weekends and evenings.
Valid driver?s license and successful completion of background check.
Must be 21+ years
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
Liquor industry sales or affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Ability to leverage data to Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities.
Experience addressing customer needs a primary focus of one?s actions; experience building positive relationships with customers (translates as both internal and external).
Skilled in monitoring the results of multiple assignments and projects.
Experience establishing action plans for oneself and others to ensure tasks and projects are completed on time.
Experience taking prompt action to accomplish objectives and taking action to achieve quotas beyond what is required, being proactive.
Experience setting high standards of performance for self and others; experience implementing standards of excellence.
