Matrix Expedited Service is an asset based trucking company providing both dedicated and expedite service for the automotive industry. Matrix is an established and credible company and was awarded expedite carrier of the year for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 2015, with plans to continue to grow and diversify. Matrix provides service to local, regional and long haul markets including cross border service to Canada and Mexico.
Job Description
Will be responsible for the development, and signing of profitable automotive and non-automotive new business, assessing additional markets, contract renewals, as well as maintaining current accounts. Cold calling on all levels from shipping office managers to corporate logistic managers is must. Must keep logs of daily sales calls and file weekly reports of potential customer development.
Successful candidates will be detail oriented, personable, carry a strong work ethic with a positive attitude, and have the requirements listed below
Requirements
Minimum 5 years sales experience in the transportation market
Experienced and comfortable with cold calling
Be able to sell to multiple levels of decision makers
Automotive expedite experience strongly desired
Experience in transportation operations would be a plus
Must have strong Oral and written communication skills
Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs
Safe driving record
Must be able to work in Canada
Flexible work hours and travel schedule
Team player with Professional attitude and appearance
Compensation structure
Base to be negotiated on experience
Commission scaled to new business and customer maintenance
