Rep agency seeks independent commissoned sales position for Eastern Michigan
We are a respected sales agency that has been bringing retail customers the service they deserve, and the products they need to be successful.
We are the exclusive representatives for 40 manufacturers in the Gift industry in our 8 state territory of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North & South Dakota. Some of our products include: Greeting cards, social stationery, accessories, décor, baby and children?s products, and general gift.
We participate in the Minneapolis Gift Show, Chicago Stylemax, Columbus Gift Show, Children?s Apparel shows and several other regional trade shows.
We keep our territory size small yet financially rewarding with above average commission rates.
We represent our manufacturers to a wide variety of retailers, which include ? Stationers, Hallmarks, Party Stores, Hospitals, Bookstores, Grocery, Clothing Boutiques, Museum shops, Toy stores, Florists, Children?s stores & Tourist shops.
We know our reps are the most important component of our cooperative business .
What qualities are we looking for?
Experience 2-3 years in outside sales (Gift industry preferred).
With ability to work during the Regional Gift Shows.
A self-motivated individual who works well independently from a home based office and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit.
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Commission minded individual who wants to determine how much they are worth and earn it through our rewarding commission structure (#1099 contractor).
A passion for selling & positive attitude and personality.
Understanding of retail environment and merchandising.
Good communication skills with relationship building.
Ability to manage multiple lines, open new accounts, maintain/build on existing accounts.
