Job Description:
Leads software validation for projects or teams on infotainment modules, both on test bench and vehicle.
Initiates and fosters team wide activities in learning and adopting new and relevant state of the art technologies for automotive infotainment, consumer electronics, embedded systems, software testing, and test tools.
Meet regularly with project teams and partners to ensure milestones are defined, understood and being met. Identify dependencies, risks, and drive resolution to roadblocks.
Understand the technical details of the product to a level that you can effectively communicate with the customer and the engineering team.
Identifies product requirement or performance issues. Work with software teams and/or partners to implement solutions to meet those requirements
Work using an agile development process and maintain status in Redmine.
Report regularly on project status to appropriate stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
Working knowledge of technology, tools, and test methods for infotainment
Working knowledge of functional and non-functional software testing, the software test life cycle, and various test design methodologies.
Good working knowledge of CAN protocol, CAN analyzer tools
Expertise in testing on Android Platform, Android Applications, Embedded Systems
Expertise in Android test/debug tools
Good working knowledge of test automation, Android test automation, scripting languages
Expertise in software testing across all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Expert in test case development, test execution, test management, test status reporting
Excellent time management & organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Effectively works under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Resourcefulness in solving problems and overcoming obstacles
Strong professionalism and judgment
Preferred Qualifications:
Software testing training (SQE, ISTQB, etc.)
Dedicated performer with the ability to advocate appropriately for product quality
Relentless learner with a dedication to learn new technologies and test methods
Avid follower of the latest technology and products in consumer electronics.
