Inside Sales Representative (Door Shop) Job Opening in Joppa, Maryland - U.S. LUMBER IS CURRENTLY SEEKING AN INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE FOR OUR DOOR SHOP DEPARTMENT AT OUR BALTIMORE BRANCH (LOCATED IN JOPPA, MD)
The Door Shop Inside Sales Representative will field inbound sales calls for door products, communicate and build relationships with our customers, respond to requests for prices and quotations for door products, provide customer follow-up to ensure customer needs are met. Enter orders and correspond with our door shop operations for scheduling of door production and delivery. Partner with the outside sales team to ensure sales efforts are maximized and opportunities revealed.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide support to our branches, where Operations and IT intersect, for company initiatives.
Administer and manage the centralized route planning process for the company?s fleet of trucks from each of our distribution centers through the Direct Route software.
Coordinate with local operations personnel regarding truck availability and other topics that affect the routing of customer deliveries.
Attain solutions to day-to-day problems and provide support to our branches for the Warehouse Management Software (WMS). Requires overnight support may be required, as needed.
Provide assistance to our drivers for the onboard tablets, placed in each of our trucks.
Create and coordinate training for new company initiatives and new employee onboarding, requiring light travel on a flexible schedule, as needed.
Other duties, as assigned and requested by management.
REQUIRED COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Be personable, articulate, knowledgeable and professional when communicating with customers
Ability to learn skills quickly with a mature and service oriented attitude
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including service-oriented telephone manner
Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50 percent of the time
Capability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Attention to detail, highly motivated, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
High school diploma with a two (2) year degree preferred
2-4 years sales administration experience
Experience in manufacturing or production environment is preferred
Knowledge of interior and exterior doors, millwork or cabinets is a plus
Must understand and possess good business and selling principles and negotiation skills
Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organization and administration skills
Must have basic math and analytical skills
