Purchasing- Engineer Job Opening in raleigh, North Carolina - Purchasing- Engineer Responsible for supplier selection, negotiations with suppliers involving price,quality, deliver, payment terms, etc. to meet cost goals. Manage multiple projects, resolve problems and meet deadines. Coordinate new suppliers, parts and engineering changes with Engineering, QA, Materials and external suppliers. Source and secrue required materials and component parts needed to produceconsumer products. Responsible for communicating to suppliers efffectively. Qualifications: BS in Engineering or Business 3 or more years purchasing experiencee in manufacturing Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings Strong understanding of Global Purchasing Markets such as Mexico, China, South Ameria, Asia and Euorpe Experienced in material flow processes (lead- times, tier two supply, transportation) Expert in supplier processes and cost drivers Demonstarted negotiation skills (cost reductions, complex business issues and risk assessment) Postion is direct hire.
