POSITION PURPOSE and COMPETENCIES
Account Manager provides financial information to management and clients by researching and analysing accounting data and preparing various financial reports. The role also includes management and mentoring of junior accountant and bookkeeper.
This is a part time position, will lead into full time as the firm grows
Fully remote - work from home
Flexible hours, however must be available Monday- Friday 10am to 11am for daily team meetings
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Conduct interviews with clients and prospective clients, assess their needs and make recommendations according to the client's individual circumstances and needs
Prepare cash flow budgets and profit plans for clients
Prepare / Review Financial Statements, work papers, including Depreciation Schedules as appropriate
General Ledger account analysis and preparation of journal entries.
Responsibility for month end closing and reporting process.
Anticipate client concerns and pro-actively take steps to manage these
Deal with customer enquiries and provide additional services as required
Implement systems to ensure that your team operates as efficiently as possible
Pro-actively identify opportunities in and outside the client base
Ensure clients consistently receive service excellence in line with our service standards
Foster strong working relationships with business partners to assist building client base through their referrals
Develop an in-depth knowledge of all clients? financial situations
Achieve agreed targets (KPI?s).
Complete timesheet daily
Participate in external and internal training as required
Ensure that all work is error-free and professionally presented and complies with procedures and systems
Maintain current and accurate files and record and date any actions and detailed file notes
Prepare work flow reports for your own client work
QuickBooks Consulting/Training our Clients
Use available resources to seek answers to technical questions prior to consulting partner
Other duties as requested
Manage team members using effective delegation
Educate team members, mentoring and leading by example
Pro-actively manage your personal and professional development
Adhere to all compliance needs and maintain appropriate accreditations
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in Accounting
3 ? 5 Years Supervisor Experience
Experience using accounting systems Quickbooks, Receipt Bank, ,
